CUt off tip of finger went to e.r. Is bleeding normal?

LAst night I went to put the quad in drive ,lever is by chan foot slipped off the break viola the chane ate it, I went to the er they shave the bone and stitched it shut its the day after and I changed my wrap I still have blood not drenching the gauz but comming through a little and I can see it is this normal to expect? And when I cleaned it the stitches were fine
